Harlem Grown provides service projects at our farms for volunteer groups. These unique volunteer experiences are great for team-building, with the backdrop of an urban farm in the heart of New York City. Our volunteers help by tending to our fruits and vegetables, chicken care - yes, we have chickens in Manhattan - composting, and many other activities working alongside our Harlem community.
No prior farming or gardening experience needed!
Please leave your contact information below and we will reach back out to help you schedule an unforgettable experience at Harlem Grown.
Corporate Groups - We have a select number of slots throughout our grow season for corporate groups. Harlem Grown requests a 100% tax-deductible donation from corporate service projects to help support our mission and ensure our free year-long programming for Harlem youth. These funds will also go towards other costs such as purchasing materials, and overall farm maintenance and repair. Suggested levels of giving will be provided upon service project request.
Community Groups - Community groups of up to 10 volunteers are also welcome to reserve service projects during our Saturday Open Farms. Your organization must serve or exist within East, West or Central Harlem to be considered for these slots.
Our calendar is now open for 2019! Farm volunteer opportunities are available from April to mid October.
For youth volunteer groups (K-12th graders), please submit our Farm Tour request form to be scheduled. Please do NOT submit a non-corporate volunteers form.
