Harlem Grown Featured in New Season of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”

Emmy-nominated Severance stars Zach Cherry and Tramell Tillman play together in hopes of winning $1 million for Harlem Grown

Beloved Severance and The Great American Baking Show actor Zach Cherry, along with his Severance co-star and chosen partner in game-playing Tramell Tillman, will be contestants on the August 6th, 2025 airing of ABC’s “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.”

Hosted by late-night’s Jimmy Kimmel, “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” features pairs of celebrity contestants playing together in the hopes of winning up to $1 million for the charity of their choice.

Brooklyn resident Zach Cherry chose New York’s own Harlem Grown as his charity. “Harlem Grown’s mission really stood out to me,” said Zach Cherry. “My wife Anabella visited one of their farms, and she couldn’t stop talking about the experience. She teaches English to adult learners and brought her students for a tour, a cooking demo, and time in the greenhouse. Hearing how meaningful it was made Harlem Grown an easy choice.”

Harlem Grown’s mission is to inspire youth to lead healthy and ambitious lives through mentorship and hands-on urban farming, sustainability, and nutrition. In their 14-year history, it’s transformed from one community garden, providing a green sanctuary for neighborhood children, to being a driving force for youth empowerment, food sovereignty and sustainability.

The organization now operates 14 farms; provides in-school, after-school and summer camp immersive programs for children 5 to 18 years; organizes family programs and community celebrations on their farms, facilitates mentorships and internships for teenaged youth and young adults; feeds the community with healthy, fresh produce at their weekly Farm Stands; provides healthy cooking demonstrations and workshops with the aid of its Mobile Teaching Kitchen; and operated a robust composting program that diverts tens of thousands of pounds in food waste from the landfills to become nutrient-rich fertilizer for their farms — all of which are free to the community.

“I am thrilled that Zach chose Harlem Grown as his charity. We’ll be cheering both Zach and Tramell on to win as much as they can for our programming!” said Founder and CEO Tony Hillery.

“If you had told me that one day Harlem Grown would be represented on a national game show I would have just laughed! This is amazing,” Hillery added. “It’s not just the money, I’m happy more people will know about Harlem Grown and our life-changing programs. I’d love for anyone to come to our farms to see it all in action.”

“Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” Season Four premieres Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 8:00 pm ET on ABC and is available on Hulu the following day. The episode featuring Zach Cherry and Tramell Tillman competing for Harlem Grown airs on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
